February Check-in
I’m having a rough month. Recently I received some medical news that is a little hard to digest for me, and is requiring a significant rearranging of my life. I don’t anticipate this meaning much in terms of not blogging, since despite my efforts I still only manage two posts a month. But I wanted the news to be out there, because my life is changing, and lots of things are changing with it. Details may or may not be forthcoming because I’m honestly not sure how much I want to talk about it.
Nine days into the media fast, mixed results. I cheated once (it was a moment of weakness! I regret nothing!), but mostly it’s going pretty well. The problem is, by abstaining from media, I had hoped to find the time and motivation to start and finish projects I’d been putting off. The reality? I’ve sort of replacing DVDs and Netflix with books. It’s doing wonders for my reading challenge (10 of 52, thank you very much), but not so much for the project starting.
So what’s on the docket for tonight you ask? Gator wrestling? Solving world hunger? Building a bookshelf? Getting a tattoo? Curling up with a copy of the Night Vale novel?
The world may never know.
