Hi, my name is Melissa, and I have a confession. I absolutely hate writing copy about myself. No matter how many times I revise, edit, or arrange the words, I either sound like a condescending toad who speaks in the third person, or like that kid in class who’s always just a little too eager to impress the teacher.

I am a 30-something fat woman who counts money and bakes bread by day. I designed my first flock of websites in 1997, but took a sabbatical of sorts about seven years ago. I missed blogging though, so in 2015, despite behind acres behind in terms of design or blogging prowess, I jumped back in, and eventually, CwellanSorg was born.

I believe that you’re never too old to learn something new, and that you shouldn’t stop, ever. Age is irrelevant. These days I’m trying to teach myself to knit (again), to sharpen my German (Ich liebe Deutsch!), get the basics of ASL, and catching myself up on web and graphic design.
