FAQ

Who are you?
If you want to know about the mind behind all this blogging brilliance, click here.

What kind of website is this?
It’s a blog of many things. It’s my corner of cyberspace wherein I can espouse my opinions, interject my thoughts, and generally make a nuisance of myself. I am a student of life, and this is my classroom.

You call yourself a writer? This blog is terrible.
Writing is a use it or lose it skill, and I haven’t been using it. One of the many reasons I continue to blog is to resharpen those old skills.

What does Cwellans even mean?
Cwellans doesn’t mean anything. The website name is CwellanSorg. CwellanS.org simply made more sense than CwellanSorg.org, although it is fun and rhyme-y to say.

What does Cwellan Sorg mean, then?
It’s a bastardization of Old English, basically meaning “to kill sorrow.” I’m attempting to kill some dark spots within myself, those ugly places where depression and anxiety run rampant. This blog helps that. Well, usually.

In a nutshell, this blog is the way I attempt to kill sorrow and inject joy into my life.

Killing sorrow? What, are you 16?
Am I killing sorrow? Is it killing me? These are the sorts of shower thoughts you can ponder yourself. The only thing I’m sure of is that I’m not a teenager anymore, and thank goodness for that.

I feel like I’ve seen this blog before.
You might have. Originally my blog was posted as Fish On The Glass, but I thought FOTG was better off as my portfolio. From FOTG, I moved to Irrelephants. Irrelephants, a play on the word “irrelevance,” was cheeky and fun, but somehow didn’t feel like it fit me or this blog, which is saying something since this blog hasn’t quite found its sea legs (web legs?) yet. I don’t know what me think of Cwellan Sorg, a phrase that had snagged itself on my imagination at university, but I realized it was kind of perfect. And so Cwellan Sorg the blog shall remain.
